This is my simple recipe for BBQ ribs. The meat is fall off the bone tender and they are easy to make. Hope you like them. I think a little satire is always good for a Youtube video. This is for people who don’t have a smoker or don’t want to spend 4-8 hours of their life nursing one. **The liquid smoke instead of water doesn’t work. I didn’t try it before putting that suggestion in the video but have since. If you want more smoke flavor add it to your bbq sauce at the end….

I made ribs this weekend using this method again after not having them for months and they turned out perfect. Just follow the video and you can’t go wrong.

freakin glenn beck on the grill

Those ribs look kinda wimpy, I never boil or steam my ribs…check out the ribs in my video section…to each thier own, i guess

making them right now, but i added some honey along with the sugar. I m thinking that when they are done in the crock pot, i m gonna put them in the oven with the bbq sauce for 10 minutes. I dont have a grill lol/

well… bbq is actually steaming.. you bbq around 250F which is the same temperature with steaming. The only difference is that in bbq you use dry heat and smoke, whereas when steaming you use wet heat and no smoke. both methods have the same goal, to turn the connective tissue into lip smacking delicious gelatin, which is why the meat fall off the bone.

bbq ribs

Never tried… Let me know how it works.

will this recipe work with country spare ribs?

Steamed ribs?!?! Really?? They’re ribs, they’re not crab legs! Never ceases to amaze me the new and ingenious ways people come up with to ruin a perfectly good rack of ribs.

I just finished this recipe and the ribs came out great! This sure does beat the old fashioned way and it is 10 times easier! Thanks for taking the time to post this….

You got that right bthor76
Easy on the liquid smoke, a little goes a long way

I’ll have to try making them this way.

They might taste ok. A boiled ribeye might taste ok. This has nothing to do with bbq.

nice video, thats kinda how we cook em sometimes if we dont feel like muckin with the smoker……but we put em in a cooking bag, then when there done we put em on the grill to finish like you did…good stuff….

now you got me really really hungry!!!

at the end i think you mean “off the bone” haha I’ll try and get my dad to do this for dinner.

Bottle of Liquid Smoke? Everytime I used liquid smoke I overdid it. I imagine you meant just a few drops of liquid smoke. That stuff is potent.

This recipe is the real deal. Ive used it twice and the ribs were the best ive ever had. Thnx Jumpwedge

FAKE!!!!

Howdy! I want a thank you kindly fer this recipe. It looks great. As I always say “if it’s a fallin’ off a the bone, them ribs will be gone!” Sort of like what I done on my video fer a fish-melt. All the best – Judd Jugmonger (Jugmonger videos)

You are certainly welcome. I still make them like this every time.

I do not know who you are but you just helped me solve a decade long battle with ribs. Your instructions and they came out LIKE A RESTAURANT! Just amazing!! Thanks!

For those of us that don’t have a smoker, this is a very helpful video. Good on ya man!

Fair comments except for lowering the tone with the last word!

lol

my dad BBQ’s all the time and I have never seen him use a crock pot or a gas grill to make ribs.. He does them on an offset smoker which is how you make real BBQ.
